He graduated from Parker College in Texas in 1989 and holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree as well as a Bachelor of Science. He is also a FMSCA Certified Medical Examiner as well as a Designated Doctor for the Texas Department of Insurance Workers Compensation Division.
